The “5 Boroughs” series is designed by famous music producer and Nike designer--DJ Clark Kent. This series is designed to shout out to New York City by using The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island as topics. Despite online selling, people can buy through Foot Locker House of Hoops in Harlem and other Foot Lockers or shoe stores in New York. Nikelab 21 Mercer in New York used to set a party called “Love All Borough Block Party” to build up the momentum for this series. DJ Clark Kent, DJ King Solomon, Ms Banks and other music producers all showed up at this party, and all five types that accord to five different boroughs were available at this party. This series includes t-shirts and caps. Back to the shoe, the “Supreme” on the shoe box indicates that this series is designed exquisitely. The vamp uses soft white litchi peel and plush material, and the edge of color blocks uses 3M reflective material. The swoosh uses chenille, and the lining uses silk fabric. The sole is made of I/O Technology. There are details that indicate each borough on the heel, and there are names of boroughs printed on shoelace as well. The “Nike Air” logo is changed to “Nike BE” which stands for “Boroughs Edition”. The number on the metal accessory of the shoelace changed to 1898--the year that New York City was divided into five boroughs.
