Nike Dunk High Pro SB U.N.K.L.E

Nike Dunk High Pro SB U.N.K.L.E, known as “Dunkle”, was published in 2004. It is a collaboration of Nike and UNKLE, a famous Britain band. This Dunk was designed by James Lavelle, the owner of Mo‘Wax and UNKLE. It is mainly colored by black and pink. Pink rarely appeared on Dunk High in 2004, and this unique palette made this Dunk extremely popular. It is made of black leather and was painted with graffiti patterns from the cover of UNKLE’s album Never, Never Land. The cover was designed by Futura, a master in abstract graffiti, and he is also the designer of Mo'Wax albums. The Point Man and Atomic pattern on the vamp can be traced back to the cover of Psyence Fiction, an album of UNKLE which was published in 1988. The signature of UNKLE is printed on the shoe to identify, and the logo of Mo’Wax is printed on the sole as well. The whole vamp is decorated by graffiti, and the whole shoe is identified by its unique street style. Such an advanced genre makes this Dunk more and more valuable.However, though those graffiti on this Dunk are the works of Futura, Futura actually has copyright of them--all of those graffiti belong to Mo’Wax. After several unacknowledged products that used Futura’s works were published by Mo’Wax, Futura left Mo’Wax angrily. This collaboration makes Futura’s Point Man well-known again, but considering the fact that Futura actually didn’t want to have his work be used, it is reasonable that Futura used “trash” to describe this collaboration and unwilling to sign his name for fans on the vamp.This Dunk has a Low Sample Edition, and it is colored in olive green and light blue. Graffiti elements are used as well.

Nike Dunk High Pro SB U.N.K.L.E，也称“dunkle”，是在2004年时Nike与英国的著名乐队UNKLE一起合作推出的一双联名款。鞋子主要是由乐队UNKLE所属厂牌Mo'Wax的老板James Lavelle所设计的，鞋子的整体配色采用黑色与粉色，这在2004年的dunk high鞋款上是极少采用粉色设计的，因此它也非常受鞋迷们欢迎。而鞋身采用黑色皮革，在上面绘以涂鸦图案，这些涂鸦图案，是取自UNKLE在2004年发行的专辑《Never，Never Land》的封面图案。这封面图案，正是著名抽象涂鸦大师Futura为其设计的，而Futura历来都有帮厂牌Mo'Wax设计唱片封面。鞋面上的Point man原子人和Atomic原子环图案，最早可以追溯到Futura为UNKLE在1988年发布的专辑《Psyence Fiction》所设计的封面上的Point man形象。鞋帮上还引用UNKLE的签名字样表明身份，同时鞋垫也印有厂牌Mo'Wax的logo，整双鞋的鞋面大部分都绘以涂鸦图案，风格极为大胆创新，融合了街头艺术进去，这也让这双鞋的价值在日后不断飙升。

有趣的是，不少人以为这双鞋是由Futura设计的，因为鞋面上的图案都是出自于Futura之手，但其实并不然。虽然Futura曾为UNKLE乐队设计唱片封面及宣传用品，但是原来版权全属James Lavelle所持有的Mo’Wax公司，其中有很多利用Futura设计的Point man和Atomic形象推出的商品其实并没有得到Futura本人的策划和同意，在那之后Futura也与Mo'Wax渐行渐远。而这双联名作也令Futura的Point man形象声名大噪，但是却不是本人主观意愿想要推出的，因此Futura对这双鞋也颇有不满，并且在那之后他所绘制的Point man和Atomic形象也不再像是UNKLE时期一样。甚至在2017年接受采访时称这双鞋为“垃圾”，并在当时不愿意为鞋迷在鞋子上签上自己的名字。

而我们看到这一双鞋头上有签字的Unkle，不少人以为会是Futura签的，实质上是James Lavelle给他的一个朋友Gary签的，上面写的字“WALK LIKE THE FUTURE”“A CHAMPION IS UNVRITTEN”应该是James Lavelle对Gary的寄语之类的。

在发售之后也曾被曝光了低帮的sample版本，整体配色为橄榄绿色和淡蓝色，配色更加接近于专辑《Never，Never Land》封面的颜色，而不是市售版本大胆的粉色。同样在鞋身上也带有大量的涂鸦图案，包括Futura创作的著名Atomic原子环，而且在鞋垫上也印有Mo'Wax的logo。据传言sample仅存世5双左右，是当初用于赠送James Lavelle的亲友。
